We’re pleased to celebrate the completion of our 1-Year Graduate Trainee Programme, an initiative designed to equip young professionals with the experience and mindset they need to thrive in the built environment sector.
In this year-long immersion, trainees work side by side with experienced teams across core departments, from Project Finance and Tendering to HR and IT. All of this is designed to develop well-rounded professionals with technical fluency and an understanding of real-world project delivery.
Each graduate is assigned a mentor who plays a key role in their journey, offering practical guidance, hands-on opportunities, and structured feedback.

This year, three individuals have successfully completed the programme and taken the next step in their careers with us.
- Jacky Chan – Human Resource Assistant (HR Team)
- Jaden Wong – Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Tendering Team)
- Hailey Yip – Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Project Finance Team)
Reflecting on their journey, the graduates shared how the experience has shaped them.
“Thank you for this invaluable internship,” shared Hailey Yip. “It has given me a true understanding of the QS role, from taking precise measurements to the vital skill of cost reporting.”
Jaden Wong described his time at TCG as deeply rewarding. “I’m truly happy to be part of this big family. Time has flown by, it’s already been over a year. The vibrant atmosphere and spirit of collaboration in this team make every day enjoyable. Each project has helped me improve my technical skills and deepen my understanding of both the work and the team.”
Jacky Chan echoed a similar sentiment. “I find immense joy in my role at TCG. The collaborative atmosphere and growth opportunities continuously inspire me. It’s a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and supportive company.”
Aubrey Lo, who has worked closely with the trainees, noted “our graduate trainees have shown an incredible ability to adapt quickly and contribute meaningfully to their teams. Their fresh ideas and creative approaches continue to give us new perspectives on challenges, and it’s been inspiring to see how they grow throughout the programme.”
We’re proud to offer long-term career opportunities to individuals who share our values. For graduates, this programme marks the start of that journey. For us, it’s an investment in the future of the company and the industry.
What sets the programme apart is the day-to-day experience. On top of the technical rigour, we hope to have impart the confidence to ask questions, take ownership and grow through feedback.
Each year brings a new group of graduates, and with them, fresh perspectives. The learning goes both ways and we continue to refine the programme based on what’s most useful for them, and for the teams they join.
